Reduced inequality

1- .The meaning of reduced inequalities

.reduce inequality within and among countries and ensuring that no one is left behind

Inequalities are also deepening for vulnerable populations in countries with weaker health systems and those facing existing humanitarian crises. Refugees and migrants, as well as indigenous peoples, older persons, people with disabilities and children are particularly at risk of being left behind. And hate speech targeting vulnerable groups is rising.

2-why reducing inequalities is important.

Inequalities based on income, gender , age, disability, race, class, ethnicity, religion and opportunity continue to persist across the world .Inequality events long-term social and economic development, impedes poverty reduction, and undermines people's sense of satisfaction and self-worth. This, in turn, has the potential to breed crime, disease, and environmental degradation. We cannot achieve sustainable development and make the world a better place if people are denied the opportunity for a better life. Moreover, despite some encouraging signs, inequality is increasing for more than 70% of the world's population, exacerbating the risks of divisions and impeding economic and social development.

Furthermore, COVID-19 disproportionately affects the most vulnerable people, and these same groups frequently face increased discrimination.
